Bachelor of Arts: The Evergreen State College, Olympia Washington. Major awarded in 1999- Fine Arts. Applied experience with the mediums of wood, metal 2004 (fabricated and cast), and glass sculpture in addition to a focus in oil painting. Additional classes in life drawing and fiber arts.

Bachelor of Science: The Evergreen State College, Olympia Washington. 1999- Major in Marine Biology and Ecology. Areas of hydrology, 2004 biochemistry, organic chemistry, molecular biology, and zoology were also examined.

Pratt Fine Arts Center Seattle, Washington.
2001- Studying the fine art of blown, hot sculpted and sand cast glass 2004 through classes and workshops. Bronze casting and mold making were other mediums explored through classes.

Repenning Fine Arts Center: Haddon Township New Jersey.
1990-1999 Intensive study of oil painting under the artist Jim Repenning.

Experience in the Fine Arts_________________________________________

Martin Blank's Studio: Working as a Charger filling an empty glass furnace and 2004- maintaining Martin Blank’s Studio. Also does technical work on 2005 the equipment in glass studio to keep everything working well. When needed coldworking is done on Martin's work as well as shipping of his work to galleries and museums.

Glass Technician: Working with Chad Holliday building equipment such as glory holes, 2004- garages, pipe warmers, kiln, electric panels, and furnaces.

Glass Instructor: Solo lessons teaching students soft glass techniques for making 2004- paperweights, vessels, and small sculpture. Classes in programs
2005 also taught to Glass levels 1-3.

Glass Assistant: Aiding various artists to create their work in the hot shop.
2001-
2005

Pratt Fine Arts Center: Teaching Assistant for Cayn Thompson’s Glassblowing 2 2003- Course for fall and winter, including glass instructor substitution 2005 for class. Worked as a Glass Technician Assistant for Chad Holliday in spring maintaining the hot glass studio. Occasionally assists in catalogue distribution.

Fleicher Art Academy: Assisted in the maintenance of the school as well as aiding in 1999 gallery installations, school enrolment and catalogue distribution. Work was done through an internship in Philadelphia, PA.

Technical Glass Skills_____________________________________________

Experience with the methods of blown vessels, solid and blown sculpture, and sand cast glass in the hot shop. Some experience in lampworking soft and hard glass in a warm shop. Experience in cold working soft glass and hard glass, some experience with stained glass. Additional experience in the technical maintenance of a hot glass studio, including fixing and building kilns, glory holes, garages, pipewarmers, and furnaces. Many years experience with carpentry, metal fabrication, building restoration, and air balancing systems, all applicable towards glass studio maintenance.

Exhibition featured life size blown glass human heads which were sandblasted,
painted, and displayed on steel stands.

Olympia, Washington.
Oil Paintings and drawings displayed in the President’s Office of The Evergreen State College. Glass installation of the sea was also displayed with hot sculpted and hot cast invertebrates.
